Evolving a Digital Brand
Rightpoint, an independent customer experience agency, as a growing company with expanding capabilities sought to reposition themselves and gain a larger presence in the digital market. That effort included a website redesign including revisiting content strategy, user experience, and site design. With a "from the inside" approach, I worked with Marketing, the CEO, and cross discipline team leads to improve the site's brand story, usability, and design system.
One of the page focus areas included the career page. Looking to grow their recruiting efforts and hire top preforming candidates, the Rightpoint stakeholders wanted a page that reflected the values, culture and people of the company.
With a competitive market potential candidates are looking for more out of a company. Rightpoint more known for its technical chops as an agency stands apart from their competitors with their “maker” mantra and collaborative culture so I felt it was important to showcase that. Pulling in a photographer, we captured the company’s “makers” doing what they do best. For the design it was crucial to place these images at the top of the page knowing that office culture, now more than ever, is one of the top factors candidates use to make their decision. I followed images with our culture video and values to further drive the importance of our culture. I brought the Job Openings CTA to the top and made it a sticky button as our site analytics were pointing to low clicks in it’s previous placement lower on the page. Culture to Rightpoint goes beyond the office, so I created an Instagram feed to display what our people are doing after hours. Lastly to improve the job searching experience I created a filtering and search function to allow potential candidates to easily find a role and office that fits their interests.
The Outcome
A clear story of who the company is and more intuitive experience for potential candidates. The site made OnGig’s top 10 career pages. After the redesign the company site saw:
27.31% increase in sessions
35.71% increase in users
16.96% increase in pageviews
